Synthetic Turf Silica Sand Infill |
Installation Instructions
- Decide on the location preferably away from the house in an area that has good drainage. Once you decide on the size and shape, mark the area with spray paint.
- Mow the area and remove any sod and then spray it with weed killer. Lay out the weed barrier over the area and secure it.
- Spread your infill evenly over the area with a rake. Distribute it in 2" layers for the purpose of compacting. Your sub-base needs to be distributed at a depth of 4".
- Before compacting, spray the sub-base with water. Compact with every 2"of sub-base material applied. The easiest way is to use a roller of some sort.
- Position the cups on the sub-base where you would want them. Use a shovel to dig the holes to 4 1/4". Fit the cups until they are flush with the sub-base material. Fill in any gaps around the cups.
- After the sub-base has been compacted, remove any small stones with a rake or broom and fill any gaps with 30-35 grit sand
Synthetic Putting Green Nylon Turf - Lay out your turf over the sub-base. If you are needing to join it, then make sure the rolls of putting turf are going the same way and place the two pieces of turf together to form a tight seam. You can buy a Sphere Turf GLST01 Synthetic Turf Seam Seal Kit which includes adhesive and tape to join the seams together. Instructions are provided with the kit.
- Shape your green by using your cutting knife. Attach the edges of your green with landscape stakes
- Fill the drop spreader with sand and spread it across the putting green. Use a broom to push the sand into the fibres. Brush in the sand making sure it gets into all the fibers so that the fibers stand completely vertical.
- Locate the cup holes, make an x in the top and with a utility knife, cut around the inside of the edge of the cup trimming any loose edges.
